Information Session: Entering Arabic language learners for GCSEs

With the support of Pearson Edexcel, the Turkish Language, Culture and Education Consortium, the British Council Arabic Language and Culture Programme in partnership with Qatar Foundation International, NRCSE has been approved as an examination centre for the Summer 2021 series. We have done this to ensure that every child attending a supplementary school that has an NRCSE Quality Mark and/or where we can be sure that teachers are appropriately trained and students work is being set and marked under appropriate conditions, has the opportunity to achieve a grade this year. At the moment we are targeting students preparing Turkish and Arabic and referring students to language specific examination centres for other languages.

We are holding an information session for Arabic teachers who have been teaching students to the Pearson Edexcel specification and have students in Yrs 10 and above ready for assessment for GCSE or A level. The session will explain exam entry conditions and fees. We are not able to confirm the exact way that private candidates will be receiving their grades until Ofqual publish the outcomes of the public consultation on 22/2/21.
