The National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education is an independent charity, registration number 1150621. Our focus remains firmly on voluntary and developmental quality assurance for the supplementary education sector.

Our trustees, advisory group and staff bring extensive personal experience of supplementary and mother tongue education as senior managers within statutory and third sector agencies. We engage our tutors on a course-by-course basis, but we see them very much as part of the extended NRCSE team, delivering to the same high standards with a practical understanding of community teaching and the importance of culture and language in education. If you have experience of teaching adults and an awareness of community-led education get in touch.

What Supplementary Schools tell about us

All the topics in the books were very useful and we got benefit from the subjects as well as from the Islamic Supplementary School book.
Most aspects of the training were useful and could help my teaching and managing our supplementary school. The most interesting and helpful was the lesson planning. It gives a roadmap to the sessions I am going to teach and also keeps me on track.
