We campaign on behalf of community centred education, supplementary schools and their students, tutors and leaders. We are campaigning hard for students studying a community/heritage to be treated fairly in the Summer 2021 GCSE/A level awards. Your donation will help us to build these campaigns, and to provide supplementary schools with the resources and training necessary to deliver safe and effective community centred education remotely.
We work with all out-of-school settings to raise their profile and their standards of teaching, learning and management, creating and delivering bespoke management and teacher training. There is uncertainty as to when pupils will be back in their mainstream schools: out-of-school settings may not be able to open face-to-face before the summer term,. But community-led education is needed more than ever: to ensure children from Black, Asian, minority and migrant families are not left behind in these challenging times. To ensure that language and culture are kept alive as families struggle to get through the pandemic. Supplementary schools are not only teaching children and supporting the development of cultural identity and language skills. Community-led supplementary schools also support families, demystifying the English curriculum, enabling parents to guide their children through the education system, providing opportunities for peer support and social wellbeing.
