Teaching in Islamic Supplementary Schools

This accredited two-day course builds on the popular Teaching Skills in Supplementary Schools course to provide additional opportunity to develop the skills of teachers working in Islamic Supplementary Schools. It is designed with a seminar format. It can be offered before or after the Teaching Skills course, or on its own.

On completion of the course learners will have gained an understanding of:

• – the development of Islamic education in Britain;
• – the teaching methodologies adopted by the Qur’an and the Prophets;
• – the roles and responsibilities of teachers within an Islamic teaching environment;
• – how Islamic education contributes to a child’s life and educational progress;
• – how to evaluate one’s own teaching
