Supporting children with Special Educational Needs

The course is primarily designed for teachers and teaching assistants who need to support children with learning or behavioural difficulties/disabilities. It aims to give a general overview of the underlying reasons that can affect children’s performance and identify some specific special educational needs that you may encounter in the classroom. In group discussions and activities you will explore how to provide differentiated support for those children and know when to make referrals to other agencies.
