Session 1: Online Teaching, sharing good practice

In this 2-part webinar, independent languages consultant from the UK, Joe Dale will showcase a variety of examples of good practice in online teaching from building a Seesaw classroom to playing interactive activities such as Kahoot to promote all four language skills.

Session 1 outline:
– Give an overview of articles and resources around remote teaching highlighting the TiLT webinar series and where to find them
– Advice on security features using videoconferencing tools such as Zoom including addressing safeguarding issues
– Using Seesaw to create activities and privately share multimedia content including screencasts and give written and audio feedback
– Using Kahoot to create multiple-choice exercises with embedded YouTube clips for remote listening and reading through gamification
